Owens Corning has increased the certified recycled content in its flagship PINK Fiberglas insulation to a minimum of 40 percent. At this level of recycled content, the amount of waste glass diverted from landfills could form a two-lane glass highway that extends 1.3 times around the world.

Battery-Ultracapacitor System Good for More Miles than Li Batteries Alone

AFS Trinity Power Corporation reported that independent test results demonstrate that batteries in combination with ultracapacitors will enable a plug in hybrid vehicles to have a useful life that is 6 times greater than plug ins that use lithium batteries alone -- 150,000 miles versus 25,000 miles for a conventional plug in hybrid that uses lithium ion batteries alone.
